You can assemble and use right away in games of warhammer 40,000! Does anyone have any experience on how long these things hang around on third party sellers after gw discontinue them?

I hadn't heard anything about this, and they are not in the 'last chance to buy' section of the gw site, but i see that there are some no longer available:

This usually means it's discontinued. At msrp, just that alone is ~$125+ of stuff not even including the dice and other bits. Check out the ork formation that comes with the start collecting orks new box set.

Unfortunately, most of the box sets one could start the army with are no longer in production, but in case your flgs still has one warming the shelf i’ll go over them all. Someone told me there will maybe be a new codex soon (and a new start collecting?) but i don't know how much time does it take to arrive. Nice for getting in right away and playing games, especially for newer players.

40k start collecting formations the new start collecting box kits are coming this weekend, and with each one is a formation or battlescroll that uses the exact contents of each box. Afaik it's been like that for a month or so. Craftworlds box, and you can add more to form a spearhead detachment.

Has anyone heard anything about start collecting boxes?
